...See more I used to think that if I asked for help, it would be easier to deal with being depressed. Instead, I'm greeted with a flurry of "everyone feels this way" and "it'll get better" with no real change. Most days, I don't even try anymore. I don't feel like getting out of bed, and then I feel guilty and irresponsible because so many people in the world don't even have a bed to get out of, let alone spend all day in. The hardest part is getting out of my own way... Here's what I'm dealing with: - A leg injury (broken ankle and tibia a few months ago) - Loss of a job - Loss of self-respect - Living with my parents - A lot of pent up anger and resentment at myself ...and a lifetime of feeling trapped, hurt, and stuck. I don't feel like I can get up again. I'm just generally a mess. And it doesn't feel like it's going to go away anytime soon.
