I've run out of hope.
I used to think that if I asked for help, it would be easier to deal with being depressed. Instead, I'm greeted with a flurry of "everyone feels this way" and "it'll get better" with no real change.
Most days, I don't even try anymore. I don't feel like getting out of bed, and then I feel guilty and irresponsible because so many people in the world don't even have a bed to get out of, let alone spend all day in.
The hardest part is getting out of my own way...
Here's what I'm dealing with:
- A leg injury (broken ankle and tibia a few months ago)
- Loss of a job
- Loss of self-respect
- Living with my parents
- A lot of pent up anger and resentment at myself
...and a lifetime of feeling trapped, hurt, and stuck. I don't feel like I can get up again. I'm just generally a mess. And it doesn't feel like it's going to go away anytime soon.

That's a lot to be going through, honestly. I understand why you'd be feeling frustrated with all of that going on.
Often times people will say that it will get better because they either have experience of things getting better, or just because they want to be comforting. Either way, it's not meant as an insult, but I know how it can be a little disconcerting.
If you have a moment, come back and let us know how you're doing <3
