What permissions would you give yourself?

...See more Hello everyone, We all face challenges in life that chip away at our self-esteem and trust. Many of us have experienced trauma during childhood or other stages of our lives. As a result, we develop coping mechanisms and adopt new behaviors—often becoming self-critical and self-judgmental, which is my focus today. Ask yourself these questions: Are you your own worst enemy? Do you harshly criticize yourself for every little mistake you make? Have you become a perfectionist to the point that it drains you and hinders your progress in life? Do you rarely, if ever, give yourself credit for your small successes? If your answer is yes, then you are the audience I am addressing here. I know someone who has been limiting her life and potential because she is afraid to take risks and lacks trust in what the future holds for her. Her therapist assigned her a task that I found interesting and would like to share with you. What "permissions" do you realize you need to give yourself, and why? For example, I should give myself permission to make mistakes. Making mistakes allows me to be curious and explore life more freely. Let me hear from you.

Are you the same?

...See more Hi all, Sometimes I really need to know if others feel the same way that I do. Not only can I not focus on one task, but I also stall and stall and stall until last minutes. this raises my stress levels, I know. But I really try sometimes to start working on tasks early, and keep myself organized or use daily and weekly planners. But my stalling comes from the fact that starting with a task that makes me nervous, makes me actually nervous 🥹. In other words, if there's a task that I'm nervous about, or something I need to present or submit, I Cannot start with it because I am nervous about it. so I relax and chill, watch TV, go out, go to the gym, do some shopping...etc. anything that could help lower my stress about the task. but then I end up with a very short period of time to finish anything. I always end up submitting the work right before the deadlining, but my brain gets extremely tired with all the stress.  Are you the same?
