I'm a mental illness and suicide survivor currently earning my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Psychology. I wanted to study Psychology since I was in my teens. But a few years ago I had the opportunity to volunteer as a peer supporter specialist for people with mental health challenges and I decided to pursue my dream. My goal is to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, help develop more research on family approached treatments to addiction recovery, and research on the impact of psychoeducation in the treatment of mental illness.
