Bio

I’m a warm, patient and compassionate person who believes that sometimes having someone genuinely listen can make a difficult day feel a little lighter. I enjoy meaningful conversations and giving people a safe, respectful space to express themselves without feeling judged.

I’m a good listener and I try to understand people from their own perspective rather than rushing to give advice because I don't give advice. Whether you need to talk about something that’s been on your mind, share a difficult experience, or simply have someone listen for a while, I’m happy to be there.

I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected and treated with kindness. I may not always have the perfect words but I can offer my time, attention and a listening ear. 🌸

What Does It Really Mean to Heal?

...See more I view healing, especially when it comes to mental health, as a way of freeing ourselves from the burdens we carry. Sometimes, letting go and allowing certain things to die a natural death in our lives can be part of healing. But how do we really know that we have healed from the things that hurt us or affected our mental health? Forgiveness can be a very hard decision. Holding on to pain for a very long time can also be draining. But what happens when something from the past comes back and triggers those old feelings? Does that mean we haven't really healed, or can we be healed and still have moments where certain things affect us? These are questions I often ask myself. I've seen life through different circumstances and situations, and It also makes me wonder about how we distinguish genuine healing from simply learning to cope, practice self-love, choose happiness, and focusing on the things that give us peace. Maybe healing isn't about completely forgetting what happened. Maybe it's about getting to a point where what happened no longer controls how we live. I'm still trying to understand this for myself. How do you personally know when you've healed from something? And if you still get triggered by something from your past, does that mean you haven't healed, or is that simply part of being human?

Religion vs. Spirituality: What's your personal compass?
Religion & Spirituality / by Favouredlily17

...See more Is there something specific you look out for when choosing a religion or spirituality that fits you? For me, it always comes down to where I find peace, truth, and transparency. In my experience, religion often felt like a forced doctrine, something that came with hidden motives attached. But spirituality is different. I discovered it more recently, and to me it feels like something inbuilt, rooted in our surroundings and environment rather than imposed from outside. It's not forced, it's inborn, something you grow into on your own through research, questions, and practice. Curious to hear how others think about this. What's guided your own journey?

Curious Mindset

...See more What can a curious mind really achieve? I recently discovered that curiosity can actually be a character strength, and I was surprised to find out that it’s my top strength😀. Honestly, I’m still trying to understand why because, looking back, I can see how curiosity has shaped so much of the way I learn and experience life especially always asking questions of "WHY" this or that.  I’ve always loved learning new things. When something catches my attention, I want to understand it, explore it and figure out how it works. But there’s also a downside. Sometimes I get so excited about learning something new that once I understand the basics, I lose interest 😔 and move on to something else. Before I know it, I’ve started another new habit or project. It’s something I’ve been battling with for quite a long time. I have so many interests and ideas, but sometimes I wonder how much I could accomplish if I learned how to stay with something long enough to see the results. That’s one reason I’m happy to have found 7 Cups. I’m beginning to see my strengths differently not just as things that describe me, but as qualities I can understand better, develop, and use as part of my personal growth. Interestingly, perseverance is my lowest strength, and I think that explains a lot. 😅 I’m curious to know now: can perseverance actually be developed like a habit? And how can I use my stronger qualities, especially curiosity, creativity and kindness, to help me become more consistent and finish what I start? Maybe curiosity doesn't have to be the reason I keep jumping from one thing to another. Maybe I can learn to use it as the reason I keep going deeper and learning new things instead. Anyway, I’m definitely a work in progress, and I’m here to learn from others, socialize with people who may have similar experiences, share ideas, and hopefully grow into a better version of myself. I would really love to hear from anyone who has struggled with the same thing. How did you learn to turn curiosity into focus and perseverance?
