Maladaptive Daydreaming - Enjoying negative emotions?

...See more Hiya, I've been researching maladaptive daydreaming for awhile now, as it's something I intend to create my university project around. I'm an avid daydreamer myself and I've always found that I enjoy making my daydream characters experience both positive and negative emotions, to the extent that I can make myself cry as if I were watching a movie when something bad happens in my day dream. I haven't found that much literature on this aspect of MD and I was wondering if anyone else does/experiences this and would be willing to talk to me about it? Thanks!
