...See more Is throwing things violence? Is throwing thing abuse? I keep searching this on the internet, but I haven’t gotten a clear answer. My husband has anxiety and it manifests through anger. He also is a recovering alcoholic. Last night he threw all of the mail across the house. This is not new. He doesn’t throw it at me or my young children. He has never hit me. But he will seclude himself, not answer direct questions (ex: Do you need a spoon?) and speak to me through gritted teeth. I think he thinks this is a normal response? Am I being abused?
