Advice......How to rip the bandaid off

...See more I don't know how........ Married for almost 12 years. Covid made the struggles more of a reality because we couldn't "mask" it with our sons activities and busy plans, but the fact is, things haven't been good for about 4 years now; haven't had sex in over 2 years and there is a lack of emotional connection/intimacy. I am extremely unhappy; find myself cold and distant. I get irritated at almost anything he says/does and then I snap with a snotty tone. I am not an angry person, don't like conflict at all and hate knowing that I'm causing anyone pain/hurt. But I can't do this anymore. How do I put my happiness as a priority and tell him I'm done. Feel like I'll be the bad guy and feel guilty because he isn't a bad person; I care about him and respect him but can't live like this anymore. We both deserve to be happy and our son deserves a loving environment; we don't fight, just live like roommates, very empty but civil. I don't think I have ever been the one to end a relationship (not even as a teen).... not sure I am strong enough but know I can't live like this anymore. Advice please!!
