Anyone else on antipsychotic?

...See more Hi I've been very recently diagnosed with OCD after 4 ish years with the wrong diagnosis (borderline personality disorder) today I started antipsychotic, I'm feeling dizzy and numb, very sleepy, my brain seems slower. My best friend is under antipsychotic too and she said that is normal and is going to be better in 15 days or less but I'm really frustrated because I have recently started to study again and I was very proud of it, plus I'm super scared that those simptoms are going to stay. To make everything worse my mother has started to say that I should stop taking those meds if they made me feel sleepy and I can't study, that's really irritating cause I can't quit something just because I'm going to be sleepy for a bit. Anyone else on antipsychotic? How did you handle side effects?

...See more I'm experiencing my new meds side effects, I'm here all nauseous, those are for anxiety that comes with obsessions, I Know they're good for me, they are meant to help me but I can't help me to think to all the people that can function normally without any meds or side effects, they are just not broken, healthy... how lucky! Don't take this post like "quit your meds" meds are super good If you need them, and your doctor knows what's the best for you. It's just a bit frustrating sometimes.
