Anyone else on antipsychotic?
Hi I've been very recently diagnosed with OCD after 4 ish years with the wrong diagnosis (borderline personality disorder) today I started antipsychotic, I'm feeling dizzy and numb, very sleepy, my brain seems slower. My best friend is under antipsychotic too and she said that is normal and is going to be better in 15 days or less but I'm really frustrated because I have recently started to study again and I was very proud of it, plus I'm super scared that those simptoms are going to stay. To make everything worse my mother has started to say that I should stop taking those meds if they made me feel sleepy and I can't study, that's really irritating cause I can't quit something just because I'm going to be sleepy for a bit. Anyone else on antipsychotic? How did you handle side effects?
I was on them, I advice you to discuss any side effects with the person who prescribed them. Yes they make you tired, but you should feel like it's at least a bit easier to deal with thoughts. Drowsiness can be prevented by taking them at night, but again discuss before you act. Best of luck!
I too faced same issue . You should discuss with your doctor and seek help. It will be difficult but you can do it
