Often, we tie ourselves into emotional knots that are hard to undo, especially when we don't find a comfortable place to work on it. We tend to wound ourselves up more and more in the helplessness. So, I wish to provide you a non-judgmental and comfy space to ground, to ease off and be gentle with yourselves. Then, bit by bit, you could do what's needed for you, and free yourself from sufferings :)

...See more So, friends... I kinda love gardening and collecting plants, and finding out as much as I can about them. Now, a couple of days ago, I came across this method of pressing flowers using a clothes iron. And then lo... I saw some yellow Wedelia's growing and decided to experiment. I got some parchment paper, and then put the paper between sheets of newspapers and then ran my Iron over it. Pretty soon, they were flat and almost crispy 😁 I put them on a white sheet of paper, and it looked cute (despite the fact that they were big and a bit tough to flatten). So here's the results: Common Name: Wedelia Scientific Name: Sphagneticola trilobata Native to: Mexico, Central America, the Carribean Uses: Ornamental Groundcover Fun Fact: It's very invasive and grows fast, and that too vegetatively, not by seed. Good enough, for the first one? It took me 10 mins, so maybe didn't quite get it right 😅 Flatter flowers are better. And perhaps I should try with the usual wooden press, or thick books. But well, ironing it was fun, and I'm gonna post some more as I go ^ ^ Does anyone else dry/press flowers? If yes, I'd love to see your art and hear about your methods.
