Unresolved feelings : Former criminal harassment

...See more Something came up for me recently that has brought up some unresolved feelings, regarding criminal harassment by a former neighbor. A couple days ago there was an uncomfortable situation with an agressive man outside my house. He was looking for "the blonde woman who lives here". I didn't open the door for him, and he became irate and cursed at me. He eventually left when I threatened to call the police. Since I had to go to the ER, for something unrelated, I decided not to report the incident. This experience was unsettling, but not triggering. I informed my housemates, and the woman who lives in our basement unit, about the incident. They want me to report the incident, for a few reasons which I agree with. It's important to me that everyone who lives here feels safe, and reporting this will certainly provide some comfort for the folks who live here. As the only witness, reporting the incident is my responsibility. Someone will come with me, so I won't be alone, but despite that, the thought of reporting it is bringing up a lot of old feelings from my past. Just feeling very nervous, overwhelmed, and a little annoyed with myself for not being "over it". I'm pretty sure I have some kind of undiagnosed PTSD and thought it might help to talk about my feelings here. Thanks for reading.
