...See more March 1 Today is Self Injury Awareness Day I don't want to bring awareness to this I want to bury it under the sand Pretend it doesn't exist. And if I need to look it in the face I want to be able to smile at it Greet it with a jolly "hey, wassup dude?!" Slap it five Ignore it's astonished stare. Forget about the fact That self harm has STIGMA Attached to it Which automatically means That I cannot be okay with it. If I need to face self harm I will face it with my head held high With my ego straight Pride intact. It's a part of me And it's okay.

...See more Hey everyone! I'm curious to hear your opinions on this.  Recently I realized that I've been self harming less. I looked at what was keeping me back from cutting, because its not like I've been feeling any better. I picked up that when I would feel the way I feel when I usually cut, I would turn to the internet, and lose myself in pointless stuff. I've been spending most of my day online, and I don't like it.  On the other hand, being on my screens all day is what is keeping me back from cutting. Any of you have any thoughts? Is it a healthy alternative, or is it just harmful in a different way? And on another note, do any of you have suggestions for things to distract, so I don't wallow in those thoughts, and don't get stuck in the struggle of "cut- no don't- I have to- don't do it" that whole cycle? Thank you for being here, for making me feel supported and not alone!💕
