...See more So I went to the doc today to get back on my thyroid/antidepressant/anxiety meds...they wouldn't give me the latter two because they said I had to see a therapist. I'm all for therapists. I'm sure they are great but I was doing alright on the meds I had. I'm recovering from a 2 year breakup that was on the abusive side. I have had a panic attack probably everyday for the last year and granted it's gotten better since my ex left me but I'm still not there yet. I just don't think I should be pressured into talking to someone face to face about my problems when the treatment I had was helping. I have never had this problem before. I feel like a panic attack is gonna happen so I'm trying to calm down but this is so ridiculous. On top of it all I didn't even get to see my favorite NP. It was some assistant....I really liked Amanda because she said she was having anxiety problems too so she knew where I was coming from. This lady, I felt like, was looking down on me. When I come to a person for help, ESPECIALLY in a professional setting I expect some emphathy or something. Has anyone ever had a similar experience? Also I had no idea where to post this so i hope I did right. Thanks for letting me vent...
