When your parents don't acknowledge your anxiety?

...See more Hey guys, this isn't exactly an easy topic for me, but I felt it should be shared. I've been struggling with anxiety since I was little, I am scared to go out to places, talking to people scares me and makes me exhausted, sometimes I get anxiety attacks where I can't breath and cry, I am scared my friends don't actually like me, and even my family makes me feel uncomfortable at times ... everyone who I have talked to about it, professional and not, all agree I have an anxiety disorder. Except for my parents. They tell me I am being childish or overreacting, which at times can be true, but I am not doing it attention like they think. They won't accept that I have anxiety, and they joke about when things that seem insignificant to them, like me getting hives trying to order good at a resteraunt, because they say I'm being "stupid". I'm not trying to bother them, and I don't want to anger them, but I want them to see that what I have is real. Do any of you have a similar problem?
