Hi all, I'm LifeArrowBro

I love being outside in the woods, camping is my favorite thing to do! I also enjoy hiking and canoeing. Have not done the latter in far too long. 

I enjoy watching my favorite sports teams, movies and a few shows when I can.

I have found 7cups to very supportive thus far and am looking forward to gaining some perspective along my journey. I have a lot of stress, relationship and growth issues I hope to work on. I don't have the best advice, but my ears are always open. I hope to someday give back a dedicated listener but for now a am happy to offer a few kind words to go along with my open (big) ears.

...See more So I have been writing various journals over the last few and one is long form that is very very personal. I also have other notebooks I use to jot down ideas, goals, random thoughts and I am trying to start a bullet journal practice, I’ve got a notebook to start that. One of my random notebooks was looked through this morning by my wife and instead of trying to understand it’s just my way of trying to organize thoughts and flush ideas out. It turned into an argument that I don’t communicate and when I tried to explain myself it was met with so much resistance. It left me feeling both embarrassed and like I was doing something wrong. Idk, has anyone dealt with this kind of thing?

...See more I feel so lost and conflicted between knowing what I need to do and having the fortitude to do it. I am stuck in my own head constantly playing out all scenarios of any decision I make that I end up punting on everything. It is a terrible feeling being at an age when the perception is we should “have it together” but man I don’t! Being survival mode for as long as I have been is catching up to me and I am not sure what’s next. Someday has yet to come and I don’t know how to level up without “burning it down”. LifeArrowBro

...See more So I was recently writing an entry in my journal and the thought that flowed through me is what I saw in the mirror. I don’t mean the physical things I mean who do I see. That led me to realize not only to I hide from myself but I hide different bits of my personality from absolutely everyone. If I can’t be completely transparent with myself how am I supposed to be with anyone else right. I’m going to challenge myself for the next two weeks to look at the mirror and tell myself something about myself at least once a day. LifeArrowBro

Tree of Life 🌳

...See more I have been toying with the concept through conversations with my listener and through a book that was recommended to me about trees. When I say Tree of Life I’m not speaking of any movie magic or mythological tree. I am starting to see that maybe just maybe we are all like trees in some way. Sort of a spirit tree like the concept of spirit animals. This kindred spirit with our stoic brethren is fully representative of our lives. With all the references and metaphors related to trees it’s not that far of a stretch. So in my search for my Tree of Life or Spirit Tree I would love to hear if anyone else feels a personal connection to a particular type of tree and why. Thanks for playing along 😊. LifeArrowBro
