...See more Hey, so I suffer from anxiety and depression. About a year ago it was triggered by a work issue and I spent a long time in denial about it but eventually got into antidepressants and got a new job. As soon as I found my new job I took myself off the antidepressants (stupidly) and have steadily got worse again. I also have many issues in my relationship with my mum, which has also impacted on my relationship with my fiancé. This has been a horrible year for him and he decided just before Christmas it was too much for him and that he would leave. Shortly after he changed his mind and we had a few wonderful days. He came with me to a Drs appointment and has since been distant again and I think the appointment outcome was not what he hoped for and now doesn't believe I will get better or that we can pull through this. I have been referred for counselling and told not to come off my antidepressants, and that I probably have a seratonin deficiency. My fiancé is now scared that the last year will become the rest of his life and is extremely reluctant to try and see how things go (self preservation). How do I convince him we can do this? I know I can get better and manage it better now I've started getting the help I need, and I know we can be happy together again. Please, any suggestions are welcome x
