Potential break up

Hey,

so I suffer from anxiety and depression. About a year ago it was triggered by a work issue and I spent a long time in denial about it but eventually got into antidepressants and got a new job. As soon as I found my new job I took myself off the antidepressants (stupidly) and have steadily got worse again. I also have many issues in my relationship with my mum, which has also impacted on my relationship with my fiancé. This has been a horrible year for him and he decided just before Christmas it was too much for him and that he would leave. Shortly after he changed his mind and we had a few wonderful days. He came with me to a Drs appointment and has since been distant again and I think the appointment outcome was not what he hoped for and now doesn't believe I will get better or that we can pull through this. I have been referred for counselling and told not to come off my antidepressants, and that I probably have a seratonin deficiency. My fiancé is now scared that the last year will become the rest of his life and is extremely reluctant to try and see how things go (self preservation). How do I convince him we can do this? I know I can get better and manage it better now I've started getting the help I need, and I know we can be happy together again. Please, any suggestions are welcome x

@Llama1628 I appreciate the way you are trying to work on your anxiety and depressions and are willing to keep it under control. I can understand how tough it can be to deal with it and sometimes we need external help. I am sorry to hear your fiance is not willing to give it another shot, as you said probably he is scared. It is understandable how they are feeling. Try to start afresh, one step at a time, tell them to take it from the beginning like you can date again for some time, then if he is comfortable be like gf-bf again. It might sound silly but it might work. Clean up your plate and start afresh. Don't rush into marriage let him see you are a better and an improved version of you. Hope this helps.

@Llama1628 I know I am late to respond to you and for that I am sorry. I know these past few months may have been tough for you. I am not sure how your relationship is fairing, but I hope it is going well for what you need personally. I know it must have been hard for you to reach out about it in the first place. It truly seems like you have a lot of insight into the situation and what is happening for you and for that, I commend you! Just know that the healthier you are able to make youself, the healthier your interpersonal relationships will be across the board. I know it is hard because you may want to rush positive outcomes, but be sure to listen to what you need to be as healthy as possible. I hope this helps some, even if it is slightly delayed :)
