low level but pervasive depression

...See more my 1st therapy was at the age of five. i think my depression is the sort that is mostly just a completely logical reaction to the completely insane society we have collectively created - it feels so pervasive that it is just my groundstate of being, and as such i deal with it pretty well, i think. I can hold down a job mostly, i am friendly and interested in people, love to travel......and behind it all is a constant all-encompassing feeling that nothing means anything, or worse that there is a meaning behind everything but i missed the memo that everyone else got so i have no clue what it is is this a thing for anyone else?
