...See more I am on day 5 of overwhelming anxiety. I've done well managing my symptoms in the past but it feels close to impossible today. I have done grounding techniques, took a hot shower, took Xanax (which I try to avoid) I'm writing everything down. Saw a therapist for the first time today. What sometimes helps is talking to people that understand this and are in a good headspace to talk about how they have had the same feelings until I realize that I am not alone. I need that honesty and something to look forward too.
