Hey!

I’m Mariam. I’m here because I genuinely care and believe that no one should have to go through tough times alone. Whether you're feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to listen with an open mind and heart. I’m on my journey to becoming a therapist, and being here is one way I’m learning while supporting others.

Is Life Sometimes Just Comically Bad?

...See more Have you ever felt like everything is falling apart all at once? Lately, I have started using a term for those moments: “comically bad.” Instead of seeing them as purely stressful or hopeless, I call them comically bad because sometimes things really are so ridiculous and out of my control that the only thing left to do is laugh. Accepting this idea has helped me through some tough times. When life feels overwhelming, seeing the humor in how absurd it all is somehow makes it lighter. It does not mean I ignore my problems, but it helps me pause, breathe, and realise I can face them without drowning in stress. Humor creates space between me and the chaos, giving me a moment to reset and move forward with a bit more ease. I believe humor is one of the strongest tools we have. It makes us resilient, helps us connect with others, and keeps us from taking everything so seriously that we lose ourselves in the process. Have you ever used humor to cope when everything felt overwhelming? How did it help? Do you think seeing life as “comically bad” at times could help you handle stress better? Why or why not?

The Power of Kindness
IDG 7 Cups Hub / by Mariam973

...See more Kindness is one of those qualities we often think of as “nice to have” but not necessarily essential for growth. However, I believe kindness is a core strength that builds connection, inner peace, and resilience. For most of my life, I thought being kind meant always saying yes or pleasing people to avoid conflict. But I have learned that true kindness includes being honest and setting gentle boundaries too. There was a time when I felt burnt out from constantly helping others while ignoring my own needs. It took me a while to realise that kindness towards myself is just as important as kindness towards others. Now, I try to ask myself daily, “What is the kindest thing I can do for myself right now?” Sometimes the answer is to rest, sometimes it is to push myself to finish a task so I can feel more peaceful later. I have also found that being kind to others without expecting anything in return brings me genuine joy and makes my relationships stronger. What does kindness mean to you in your daily life?

She is patient girl, with kindness in her words. She has a beautiful heart, who can understand instead of being Judgemental. I really appreciate her.
