Asking for consideration without seeming accusatory

...See more My wife and I are expecting twins in September. These will be our first children. So there's a lot we don't know and are trying to figure out. My wife does a lot of reading online and talks to friends and has come up with a bunch of strategies she feels will help us with our kids when they're born. I also have ideas and views but find she's not as open to them as I'd like and tends to blow them off and not consider them as viable (ideas such as being autonomy supportive of our kids). What kind of language can I use to ask her to be considerate of my ideas and to look at things from my perspective from time to time without making her feel like she's not a good listener or triggering her in some way? I'd prefer to stay away from why questions as I know those easily can come across as accusatory. I'm looking for how and what questions that can help her see how I don't feel heard or seen or understood.

Am I not heard because I feel Unworthy?

...See more Hi A lot of times I feel unheard by those around me, especially my loved ones. This can lead me to feel frustrated, sad and upset at times. I realize part of it might be me not speaking up—making a silent request to be heard no one hears. I tend to make room for others to be heard, feeling as though I’m being considerate. A listener here pointed out it might also be that I don’t feel worthy of being heard in some way which I hadn’t thought of. So what kind of self-work can one do to feel worthy and that what I want to share matters?
