Why can’t I let go? Please I really need help

...See more I started a friend’s with benefit relationship with a guy and later on we became really close but without defining the relationship. Recently we started having bad arguments over petty things, one event was horrible which resulted to me breaking down his door. I feel like am not been heard when I communicate my feelings to him and he doesn’t really show his feelings the way I want him to and I really hate when he makes sarcastic jokes ,they normally hurt my feelings. And in whatever issues we have it somehow becomes my fault,he said I take things personal and I always think am right at all times in arguments. I really do love him but I don’t know if me traveling soon is playing a big role in the constant bickering and if I leave, it would become a long distance relationship. I just really hope he saw things my way but then again deep down I know in the long run his only going to bring out the worst in me and make me feel timid and stuck . I so badly want to let go and feel unbothered but it’s so difficult,in the times we’ve ended times he never called me or anything I always made the move .I just don’t know what to do anymore please I would really appreciate different inputs.
