...See more Empathy, compassion, and gratitude are not just “nice-to-have” qualities—they are essential tools for building meaningful relationships and communities. The “Relating” domain focuses on how we connect with others and care for the world around us. In a fast-paced and often polarized society, slowing down to truly understand another person’s perspective is a radical and healing act. Empathy doesn’t require agreement—it requires presence. When we listen to others without judgment and show genuine interest in their emotions and experiences, we create space for healing and trust. Compassion allows us to take this a step further, motivating action to alleviate suffering. Practicing gratitude helps us maintain perspective and appreciate both the big and small things in our lives, even amidst difficulty. By making trust, humility, and kindness daily habits, we help cultivate a more inclusive and resilient world. Discussion Prompts: * Can you recall a moment when someone showed you deep empathy or compassion? How did it affect you? * In what ways do you actively practice gratitude, empathy, or humility in your daily interactions?

Building a Stronger Relationship to Self (Domain 01 - Being)

...See more Many of us move through life fulfilling responsibilities and meeting the expectations of others, often without pausing to reflect on our relationship with ourselves. The “Being” domain highlights how vital it is to cultivate self-awareness, emotional regulation, and values-based living. Developing a strong internal relationship means identifying your core values, recognizing your character strengths, and building self-esteem and self-acceptance. When we begin to truly understand ourselves—what motivates us, what gives us purpose, and how we manage stress—we can make more authentic decisions and respond to challenges with resilience. Emotional regulation and distress tolerance aren’t about avoiding pain, but rather about learning how to sit with discomfort and make choices aligned with our best selves, even when things are hard. This kind of inner work lays the foundation for healthier relationships, purposeful action, and long-term well-being. Discussion Prompts: * What personal values or character strengths guide your decisions when life becomes challenging? * How do you currently nurture your relationship with yourself, and what could you do more of to grow in this area?
