Struggling with body image issues as a man

...See more This is gonna be pretty vent-y, just a forewarning. I've struggled with body image issues for several years now, and recently it's been at the worst it's ever been. It's difficult to go outside or go out in public because of how disgusting and unattractive I feel. I have went to therapy for this, but my therapist is extremely dismissive and unhelpful in this matter. He typically just ignores what I say and just tells me to "hit the gym more", despite the fact I already live a very active lifestyle. It's like talking to a brick wall. I can't help but feel like less of a man. I shouldn't be having these issues, it's pathetic. It's gotten the point where I avoid mirrors because I can't stand to see my awful body. I'm getting so exhausted of knowing that I'm this gross, ugly, undesirable, worthless creature. That's all I have to say for now.
