Addiction to gaming.

...See more As I turned 18, I’m still gaming like there’s no tomorrow. I’m not proud of it, but I’m struggling so hard. I started gaming seven years ago just for fun, but now it feels like hands have grabbed and trapped me. After the lockdown, I began playing 14–15 hours a day. Right now, after finishing my Grade 12 exams, I’ve been on a long vacation. Even when I had classes, I would sleep at 3 a.m., wake up at 5 a.m. to go to college, come back around 10, and start playing again.  And it’s not like my parents are rich or anything — we’re lower middle class, maybe even poor. We rent a 2BHK apartment with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a toilet. Even though I’ve turned 18, I’m still struggling with my addiction. I love my family so much that I can’t even open up to them because they’re just too kind. I feel like, even though they never pressure me to get a job and still feed me, I can sense that they’re getting older — and I have to do something for them and for myself.
