...See more So basically, I was in 6th grade. I had a babysitter who we think of as family, and all of my family loves her. Also, I have a dog that will play into this. So I was home alone with this babysitter, and I was making a snack, as usual. she came in behind me, and started to pick up part of my dogs toy as he watched. I still don't know exactly why, but he lashed out. (This is when it can be triggering) he jumped on her back and started to basically try to kill her. I turned around quickly, hearing the growling, and screamed. to this day, I still feel bad, becuase I stood there. I had no clue what to do. I kept screaming to get him off, but it didn't help. finally after around 30 seconds, I grabbed his collar and tried to pull him off but he didn't let go. I kept yelling for him to let go, and pulling until finally he did. I have developed a fear for dogs, and I have 3 triggers now. Thank you for reading this, and have a good day
