Does hangxiety get better ?

...See more Since i broke up with my ex girlfriend 2 years ago my relationship with alcohol and drugs got really close, i could drink every day 4-5 beers and party with drugs every weekend for almost a year without getting bad hungovers/calmdowns. After the first year i could feel that my health anxiety (which i didn’t have before abusing substances) was getting worse, to the point that i had mostly bad trips so it wasn’t fun to do drugs anymore and i quitted them. I kept it going with the alcohol since i still enjoy drinking with friends, i started to moderate it the last few months (i don’t have more than 7-8 drinks weekly) because of many panic/anxiety attacks during the hangovers that last 2 days. I’ve become very anxious with my health to the point that i can’t control it even though i’m staying sober, has anyone developed anxiety because of alcohol or drugs abuse? Will the hangxiety ever go away or should i become the mysterious guy that orders milk at a bar for the rest of my life?
