...See more My 4 year old baby boy cat was put down today. He had feline idiopathic cystitis. 4 days ago we were fine, he was playing with toys. And this morning I held him while he took his last breath. He was the best cat, he never hissed, never scratched, LOVED to be under the blankets with you, and purred louder than any other cat in the world when you just looked at him. I named him Ashe, we got him as a 1 year old to help our younger cat. Ashe came from a home with other cats and Kai (our younger cat) had no other animals in his life. Ashe was the best big brother in the world. I don't know how to process this, my wife is a mess. And I'm doing everything to keep it together for her, she's never lost a animal before. She's napping right now and I'm grappling with the fact he's gone. What do I do. What can I do? It's like half my world died in my arms. This cat meant the world to me. He was my therapist and my battle buddy. Hed watch shows with us on the couch ( he liked the movement) It's as if my brain refuses it. Like later I'm going to open the door. Walk into the living room and he'll be on the couch squinting and purring at me. Thank you to anyone who's reading this. Rest in peace Ashe. I loved you so much buddy. So much.
