Friday Check in

...See more HEY HEY PEOPLE  WE MADE IT!!!!! It is Friday! Take a breath, you did it. I don't know about anyone else but this week has been a LONG one. Work and final weeks of classes have just beat me up. Still pushing through though. This week I was able to join in on some amazing dicussions on self care and self acceptance. While I feel like most of the time I don't struggle with those things joining in on the discussions forced me to really check in and stop for a moment. We all get so caught up with everything we are doing and forget to check in with ourselves.  So how was everyone's week?  If it was good, name something that happened that made it so If it was bad, take a breath, give yourself some grace cause you still made it and that is a good thing! If you in the middle, you can do both  If you don't know that is fine too sometimes when so much is happening it can make it hard to put into words.

...See more Hey everyone I hope everyone is doing good this week. Wanted to check in on everyone. Remember not everyday has to be perfect or be productive. Sometimes breathing or showing up is enough. Remember to give yourself some grace even if things don't go perfectly or the way it might of been planned.

...See more Hey everyone  I saw a *** today during my morning doomscroll. It was about if you could walk through a door and redo everything without trauma or pain would you? It made me think for a second. How life could be different without the trauma or pain we all go through. We fight and struggle sometimes everyday but that makes us stronger and ready for anything life can throw at us. I got a favorite quote from an anime because I am an anime nerd. There's no such thing as a painless lesson, they just don't exist. Sacrifices are necessary. You can't gain anything without losing something first. Although...if you can endure that pain and walk from it, you'll find that you now have a heart strong enough to overcome any obstacle. Yeah... a heart made of Fullmetal.(full metal alchemist brotherhood) So to answer the question I would not walk through the door. Would you walk through the door?

...See more Hello Everyone! Hope everyone is doing well today. It is almost friday!! I was listening to a song yesterday called Beautiful Creatures by Illenium, Max. I was listening and the lyrics got me thinking about how we are all the same in some ways. We all have struggles, challenges, we all are seeking something. We have things we might not want to talk about and things we can't wait to shout about. The main thing about the song though is that through everything we go through and face no matter what we are all Beautiful Creatures!!! I hope everyone has a great thursday and if anyone has a song they want to share I would love to hear.

Your Person Doesn’t Have to Be a Person

...See more Hello everyone 👋 This is my first forum post, so I thought I’d start with something meaningful. Since it’s February—the month of love—I wanted to ask: who is your person? This doesn’t have to be romantic at all. It can be completely platonic. It’s the person you turn to when things feel like too much, the one who supports you and helps ground you. And your “person” doesn’t even have to be a person—it could be your pet, a safe place, or even this platform itself. I’m still fairly new here, but I’ve already seen how warm and supportive this community is. There are so many people willing to listen, and that alone can mean so much. For me, my person would have to be my stepmom. When things get hard, she tells me the truth I need to hear—even when it’s tough—and she never sugarcoats it. That honesty and support mean a lot to me. I’d love to hear from others if you’re comfortable sharing. 💛
