...See more I've been struggling with depression for as long as I can remember, the bad habits and quirks that come with it are as natural as breathing to me. Ive always been avid and active in my self-care, and prided myself on my ability to cope with my disorders. But recently, my life took a total turn. I went from being top 2 percent of my class and having a full-ride scholarship to a local college, and my whole future ahead of me- to being kicked out of my house, losing my scholarship, losing my friends, losing my hometown, and leaving behind all of my belongings to find a job and cheap rent. The only way for me to get through the days was to shut my brain off. It was too loud and I would have panic attacks almost daily if I tried to focus on anything but breathing. Luckily, things have become steadier for me. I love my job and i am ready to open myseld back up again. But I can't,,, make my brain turn on ? I have no thoughts. I have no ideas. I can't hold a conversation when I used to be a social butterfly. It seems like nothing is helping. I would really appreciate any tips and tricks to help me get my ole' internal monologue back. Or any of your favorite coping skills in general! Thank you so much ! <3
