...See more Hi out there. This past year I’ve gone from managing a large payroll office to having a nervous breakdown followed by a major blood clot. I know, yikes. I went from a leader to a no one. After moving my (50+) staff to work independently from home in December 2020 due to COVID, I had to coach, train, mediate those that didn’t get along, etc. from home and I live alone. Due to the amount of pressure from my bosses, I lost it. I’ve basically been in isolation since December 2020. After being taken off work by my doctor (due to my failing mental health) earlier this year I’ve been extremely depressed. The first day of my leave from my job, I ended up in the emergency due to a blood clot. Scared the crap out of me. So what I thought at the time was going to be a (3) month reprieve from my excruciatingly stressful job, turned into a fight for my life. Sooooo, needless to say, my world turned upside down. Now fast forward (8) months later and still on leave from my job, I feel isolated, hopeless and just stuck at rock bottom. I decided to try and find a support group so I don’t feel so alone. And that’s how I ended up here. I hope I did this right and that my long winded introduction didn’t turn anyone off. Just being real and raw. I used to be such a fighter, and leader, a soft place to land for my staff, and now I’m just an empty outline of what I used to be.
