...See more After my dad passed away, my family completely cut me off, leaving me to navigate the grief and responsibilities alone. What hurt even more was that they didn’t acknowledge my son’s birthday—he’s potentially autistic and looks forward to even the smallest gestures, yet they didn’t send a card or reach out in any way. It was a painful reminder that the family connection I once relied on had vanished, and that my son, who deserves love and recognition, was overlooked by the people who should have cared. I’m struggling with how to cope with this ongoing hurt and uncertainty, and I’m not sure how to handle family interactions—or lack thereof—in the future. I would really appreciate any advice on how to protect myself and my son emotionally while figuring out the best way to move forward. And I don't know whether to send a picture of his first school photo to my gran again we dont talk they all blocked and deleted me from everything and my gran refused to even speak to me during the time of my dad's death any advice appreciated
