Thoughts about alternative medicine

...See more I know that we are in a group with a lot of different conditions, but I want to ask you about your opinions about other types of healing that are not close to our modern medicine system. I read a lot of things about alternative medicine in my journey with disability (I have chronic pain duo to degenerative disc diseases and arthritis, I'm 26) and I don't know what to think. I read about meditation, the placebo effect, medicinal plants, spirituality, etc, but I don't think I can put this in my life as a daily practice because I'm very confused. Sometimes I think I'm too locked in the way of thinking that doctors put me, but sometimes I think it would be more healthy to just let go other types of medicine and just accept the system that we have. What do you guys think?
