...See more Hi, I’m new to this community and haven’t introduced myself yet. I am noodles, I’m currently 20 and I’m in my first year of college (United States). This is the second quarter that I enrolled in, and I’m just taking care of prerequisites (for an Accounting major) and all that and decided to take a music theory class since I’ve always been interested in it. The more I’m in this class, the more I only want to do this class. I don’t want to do anything else. It made me realize that I really don’t want an accounting job like I’ve been thinking about since I was 16, I yearn to create. I have so many creative hobbies and it feels like the only time I’ll be able to indulge in them is when I’m old. I just want to make music, sing, draw, paint, write poetry, but the state of the world and my government are blocking my dreams. Even this accounting degree might not mean anything in a few years. I guess I’m feeling hopeless. Like everything that I would ever for towards or enjoy will always be overshadowed by the fact that this time period or world in general is not made for me. Is the only time I won’t have to worry about finances, homework, my safety, etc, be after I finish my life course?
