The Nothing Journal

...See more This is a strange concept for me but honestly? I don't like the idea of journaling. No offense to those that DO use journals of course. More power to them since it's their preferred method. I don't know why but it's like, reading the words that I wrote just makes me uncomfortable. It lingers in my mind in a bad way, and I just scrap the paper afterwards. Maybe that's how I'm supposed to feel? Either way, I don't journal. But I do "log" whatever I say out loud into nothingness. Speak what I say out loud into an empty room all by myself, all my worries and all my traumas. Just out there in that room. And then it just clears up in my head, like it does still linger like journals do but in a less bad way. And then after a few hours, or days pass and I still remember what I say and I just go "Hey that seems silly now, absurd even" or "Actually things got better now" I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that what I'm doing is different, it works for me and it makes me feel better. I just wanted to write this out so I can share it in text form, I don't really mind if other people don't see it though. All in all, I feel clearer after writing this out. So do you guys do this type of thing too?

Feeling guilty about being happy sometimes

...See more I'm a bad person. I know that in my heart even if I try to do better. This isn't me beating myself up, this is me acknowledging the wrong parts of my own self. That being said, sometimes whenever I feel happy, I suddenly have this "realization" that I shouldn't be feeling this way. Considering I've hurt so many people in the past with my actions, I just feel like I don't deserve to be a person. Sure, I do deserve it. Everyone deserves to act human. But at the same time, I just can't help but feel so guilty feeling this way when my victims have been left hurting before. I've moved on and I'm on the road of doing better, but at the same time...I struggle to be happy even if I want to be. I just don't feel like I deserve it.
