Hello, My name is shelby and I struggle with multiple different mental health conditions some days is a real struggle. My Mimi passed away this past year, she was an amazing lady who was a nurse and volunteered at the red cross my entire life. She loved helping people In her passing I wanted to put some good into the world like the bible says but also I wanted to more like her in her kind helping ways. I looked at volunteer options at the red cross and nothing seemed to fit me, so I started looking for my cause that I would be passionate about the way she was. I found it in mental health particularly but spreading good kind compassionate understanding words and actions. As I said before I struggle with my mental health, I feel alone a lot not that I am And my husband tries his best to understand but unless you deal with it personally its hard to understand. I had no money because I am unemployed right now so I started by creating a facebook page and making motivational, Inspirational, mental health support and awareness images and videos. It started growing and It grows a little every day despite not being able to put money into it.(that i'm proud of). I started expanding to other social media platforms along with setting up a website. It also helps my mental health knowing someone is out there like me. Maybe having an extremely hard day feeling like they can’t make it through, and they see something i’ve posted or resource they can use to help and that is what helps them get through their day. and the fact I was able to help someone when they needed it most, and I will never know. I consider myself an advocate for positivity and mental health support and awareness. I would love to work with you. I hope we can work something out and work together.
