A big win for me
Positivity & Gratitude / by Tiresias1111

...See more So I’ve been working an absolutely terrible job that’s been so damaging to my well-being and mental health. It’s drained the life out of me and the pay is just ok. I decided enough was enough and started applying to other jobs. But the job market I’m in is terrible and after months of applying and interviewing and getting ghosted, I almost just gave up and settled for my terrible job. But the final job I applied for actually got back to me and accepted me!  My current job is an hour away, has a strict uniform code, and has me working all kinds of crazy hours and long shifts. This job is a short drive, allows me to dress with lots of freedom (and I love fashion so much, this means a lot to me), and has a very consistent comfortable schedule. Plus the new job pays more. This is going to do wonders for my well-being, my mental health, and my social life. If anyone out there is struggling in a bad situation, I hope my story encourages you to not give up. Keep aiming high and you might just make it.

I feel like my relationship is doomed
Relationship Stress / by Tiresias1111

...See more Hey everyone! This is my first post here and it’s the main reason I’m on this site. I’ve been in a fantastic relationship for a long time now, years. We truly love each other, we understand each other, and I’d never want to do anything to hurt my partner. I can’t imagine life without them. The problem is that we simply cannot agree on whether or not we want kids soon. My partner is dead-set on us settling down and having a family in the next year or two. I just can’t fathom doing that. I’m not ready for it. I feel to irresponsible and young, and there’s so much I want to do with my life before I ever consider shouldering the weight of having kids.  We’ve talked about it but always seems to come to a standstill. It’s like we both know the conversation won’t end in us being together. Like we know we aren’t really compatible but it’s too painful to confront that reality. How should we approach this? What advice do you have if it does end up tearing us apart? Thank all you for your time.
