Bio

I've come back to listen in 7 Cups after an almost 2 year pause. Why? I'm also experiencing pitfalls, sometimes even huge ones. However, I learned that reaching out even a little bit can make a huge difference. I've been supported quite a lot, I still am, and I feel like I can and want to support others in return. Even if your problem is something I've never even come close to experience, what we humans have in common are emotions. We are sentient beings, capable of empathy and understanding. I believe in that. Let us talk, let me hear you out. Will that help you? I don't know. I can assure you I won't solve your problems, for that is something only you can do. But you don't have to do it alone. Maybe the solution will not come quite soon, but as you're stuck there in that pit of misery, let me sit with you and share a nice cup of tea. Or coffee, if you prefer that :)

I have most experience with topics such as depression, loneliness, chronic (autoimmune) diseases and self-harm.

I'm also an artistic soul, so don't hesitate to contact me if you're experiencing problems with your muse or have generally lost belief in anything that's good in this world. Doesn't matter what kind of art, I think we can understand each other :)

I also happen to be a verified listener, which means that I've been tested and proved to be competent in what I'm doing here. I love learning, and I think people are the best source to broaden your views, for each one of us are quite different. And yet the same homo sapiens :)

If you need to calm down, perhaps you'd like to listen to the rain?

By the way, I am not a fanatic chaining myself to the trees or living in a home-forest, if you're wondering. I just happen to like trees, they're beautiful, just like you.

Binaural Beats for Better Sleep
Healthy Living / by TreeLover

...See more Hi, as all of you probably know, sleep is a very important factor for a healthy and relaxed mind and body. It is inconceivable that sleep deprivation or low quality sleep (fractured) goes foot by foot with exhaustion, stress, depression, anxiety and many other problems. So I decided to share with you a few ways how you could improve your quality of sleep. I hope this helps :) Binaural Beats: what it is and how it works Many of you have probably heard of or even tried binaural beats already, it is not a new thing and has been used for therapy since it's invention in late 20th century. They're a set of certain frequency sounds, or music, if you prefer, that trick the brain into emitting a certain frequency waves. Depending of what brain activity you want to improve, there are different set of frequencies: * Gamma waves - higher mental activity, problem solving, perception. But also fear. * Beta waves - better cognition and concentration. Good for studying. But it can also enhance anxiety. * Alpha waves - enhances creativity, relaxation while being awake, REM sleeping * Theta waves - deep meditation and light sleep, dreams. * Delta waves - deep dreamless sleep, complete unconsciousness. These waves are induced in the brain by playing two different frequencies into each ear and are the so called binaural beat. The brain is "tricked" into it as it tries to make up for the difference in the beats and make sense. It may take a while for the brain to get into this state, so it might not give the anticipated result at the very first try. The mentioned brain waves occur naturally, but this is a way to induce them so you could achieve the desirable state. In order for this to work, however, you need to listen to the beats on the headphones, as the frequencies each ear receives must be different. A quiet and peaceful place for this should also ensure a better performance. Because of the repetitive pulsating rhythms, people who are prone to seizures or epilepsy should not use binaural beats or use them with caution. It would be best to consult a specialist about this if you have doubts. Instead of binaural beats, you could also try noise/sound therapy. It's basically listening to a certain sound, which can be natural (rain, water, fire and etc.) or synthetic and see if it can relax you. Here are a few resources and useful links for more information: > How to use binaural beats to treat insomnia [https://www.binauralbeatsmeditation.com/binaural-beats-for-insomnia/] > How to use binaural beats to get the most benefits [http://www.omharmonics.com/blog/how-to-use-binaural-beats/] > Binaural beats online generator [http://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/binauralBrainwaveGenerator.php] > Sounds for relaxation [https://mynoise.net/noiseMachines.php] I hope you'll find this useful, tell me how it goes! Very Helpful. Thanks
so kind
TreeLover was an incredible listener and, dare I say, friend -- so very compassionate, patient, and intelligent. She was willing to really hear and appreciate who I am and what I'm struggling with, rather than reach for the easy stock phrase or the ready-made aphorism (both of which I get a lot.) All and all, she's wonderfully attuned to this daunting, tortured, wonderful thing we call living, and it did me a world of good -- in a particularly dark time -- to pause and reflect on it with her.
Absolutely amazing :) takes the time and care into replying, really understanding and shows great professionalism! High recommend! Takes own matters into account/opinions, without the need to overdress and ignore yours which is truly amazing!!!
Fun! Fun! Fun! Been a while that I last have such talks. Hope that we can be friends actually

TreeLover you're an awesome listener and a great person to talk to. Thank you so much
She's nice and really helpful
This was a great chat, one of the most helpful I've had on 7CupsOfTea, and it helped me look at things I've avoided thinking about that could have contributed to my current state, and help me get over everything.
Very kind, and helped with my problem immensely. They listened to everything I had to say, and responded with feedback. Amazing listener!
Thanks again :)
very nice to talk with!
Amazing, helped me through alot of problems that I needed help wading through and allowed me to clearly see what the solution is
He/she was a great person, I'm very glad I got the chance to talk to them. They helped me a lot. I really appreciate that they just listened and talked to me about it.
They asked questions to get to know my situation and tried to understand how I was feeling. They helped me find something I was excited for in the future and told me to have hope that I'll be able to achieve the goals I want, depression or not. It was really nice to speak with someone who sounded so kind.
I needed that. I was so alone and I don't do well with that. Thank you.
Like, I said, you really helped me out. And you're a great listener, so those who get you as their listener are pretty lucky.
Really great listener :) recommended!
A wonderful person that listened to my problems and managed to cheer me up with his positive outlook on life, great listener, would recommend.
