Weaning Off Effexor
Depression Support / by United11

...See more My primary care doctor is currently weaning me off Effexor and getting me on Trintellix. The withdraw symptoms have been making what is already a hard time for me even harder. Is there any relief to the brain zaps and other withdrawal symptoms? I have an important, busy, and stressful job I can't exactly take a break from, and getting ahold of a therapist and setting an appointment has been unpredictably difficult. Some days I feel like I need to check into a hospital just to be able to breathe. I feel like I'm rambling and trying to stay on topic, but I am dealing with a lot and my anxiety and depression symptoms are making things hard to cope. I need a lot of help.

Provisional Teacher Work Stress
Anxiety Support / by United11

...See more So my situation is oddly specific, and it has been weighing on me so hard these past weeks. I have hardly slept and ate, which is highly abnormal for me throughout my stuggles with anxiety and depression. I mention this from the beginning, because I felt like before I started this job, I was on the right track. I was feeling legitimately happy for the first time in years. I had changed to a medication that was working for me, and I was hearing things from friends like, "It was like having the old [me] back!" I had been through a dark period in previous years with my depression that had alienated my friends away. Since then, again, I felt like I was finally on the right track to happiness, which is why I am scared to make changes. Thus, my situation that has me so stressed out and miserable is that I am a new teacher that is not officially licensed, but I am under a provisional license. I am not in the content area that I bachelored in, and I am stuggling with all of the new teacher issues, such as discipline and planning effective lessons. Long story short, I feel highly underqualified for my important position, and I feel like I am drowning in expectationa. I hate most of all that the people who love me have to see me go through yet another hard time. Yet I feel stuck. I need advice, and I'm willing to accept any.
