Broke up with my first relationship of almost 3 years

...See more i just broke up. It was my first relationship of allost 3 years. I don't know how to handle this. I haven’t met anyone I could really talk to until i finally met him. And i was so hopeful for the future. But now it’s all in shambles. I keep going back to that night that started it all when i started blaming him. And it all started going downhill from there and he started giving up on us since then, when he said he wouldn’t previously. It was like i killed all hope in him. I just want to go back and mend that night, i saw the moment it all went wrong. I don’t know what to do i’m alone i’m scared I really want to hold him again but i know it’s not right. I love him i love the parts where he was soft and caring but i hated the parts where he was hard headed and stubborn, it hurt me it hurt me but i love him i still love him my heart is so broken. I know he will be much happier without me cuz i felt like this relationship is pulling him down. I want to love a person who I can’t be with. Why does life do this my heart is broken.
