...See more I'm suicidal. I've been suicidal for months with very little relief. My thoughts get worse at night. I've tried to overdose in the past- unfortunately I wasn't successful. I have a therapist. She made me commit to a safety contract. She's a really great therapist, she told me if the thoughts return to contact her whether it's day or night but I have a fear of bothering people. I feel like all I am is a problem. My existence bothers people- part of the reason I want to die. I'm at conflict with myself. I want help but at the same time I hate being a burden.I always end up convincing myself I can handle it alone. I don't know what to do anymore. There has to be more to life than just being plagued by suicidal thoughts..right?

...See more I've lived in an abusive home for a majority of my life. All types of abuse and neglect have went on in that house. My dad is bipolar and goes off the deep end over the simplest of things. He drinks a lot as well. My mom is manipulative and hurtful. I'm twenty years old, everytime I try to move out of this house my mom gives me a guilt trip and they threaten to disown me. My parents make me pay rent to live in the house, my dad lost his job so I feel obligated to continue living here to help out. It's all getting to be too much. They fight all of the time. I feel like I'm constantly walking on egg shells. I'm 20 years old and yet I'm not allowed to leave my bedroom when I'm in the house. At the end of the day I'm just hopeless and tired because it doesn't feel like anything is ever going to get better.
