...See more Hi everyone I'm relatively new to 7 cups (after being gone a long time) and since then have been medically recognized as autistic. One thing that I've been struggling a lot with lately, I don't see too many people talking about. The correlation between autism and altered perceptions of gender. I've been questioning my gender since the 7th grade (or before, really). And after calling myself a trans man since like 11th grade, I'm once again severely questioning my gender. I've been out under a certain name for a while too, and all of my friends and partners use it and it feels right (at least I think), but being a boy feels wrong. Lately I've really been embracing my femininity and the fact that I was born female, and it's not that I necessarily think I'm not trans- or at least I don't think so ? I'm just really confused. But I know that a lot of autistic people, like myself, really struggle with perceptions of gender, especially towards themselves. And while no one will really be able to help me with my own identity, it would be nice to at least know I'm not alone ? If anyone else relates, I mean.
