...See more I’m a very ambitious person and when I don’t get something I really set my mind to and was excited it about, it tears me down a lot. recently i applied for a position at my college that could waive some of my tuition fees. i was really set on getting this position because it would help my parents financially and sometimes i feel bad about them having to pay for my school, even though they say not to worry about it. I’ve been so nonstop anxious about waiting to hear back about the position, and when i finally did, I ended up being an alternate for the position. Even though that’s not a bad thing because it means i still have a chance, I still feel so anxious and depressed like I let myself down. I feel like i’m failing at life even though I’m not. Im trying my best to stay positive, but seeing my friends get excited about how they got the position and I didn’t, it just makes me feel like i’ve done something wrong. I know my brain is overthinking everything, it’s just hard to control my anxiety and remind myself that everything will be okay.
