...See more It has been exactly five months and ten days since I came to Denmark, and I still haven’t found a job. Lately, I’ve started to understand something painful about people. What they think in their hearts and what they say out loud are often completely different. No matter how honestly I speak, people only hear what fits their own assumptions. They look at me and think I’m lying, even when I’m telling the truth. I’ve seen people who work day and night, even doing jobs in black if that’s what it takes. But the moment they meet others, they swear to God that they haven’t found any work at all. And in front of us, they pretend to be unemployed. I’ve told the truth so many times that I haven’t gotten any job yet but standing among people like that, it somehow feels like I’m the one being judged as a liar. I came here with a dream. I told myself that no matter what it takes, no matter how much pain or struggle there is, I will work. I believed I was good at something. I believed I would build something for myself. But here, everything feels different almost upside down. It feels like the only way to move forward is to be fake. To lie. To break trust. To flirt. To pretend. That’s how it seems people get opportunities. And now I’m stuck in between. Should I change who I am just to survive here? Or should I stay true to myself, even if it means staying stuck?

...See more I don’t really know how to put this into words, but I’m feeling really overwhelmed and alone right now. This morning I woke up already feeling like I was standing on the edge. I opened my laptop and everything just crashed in at once. We started a new module, there’s a new group presentation, and we were told to form groups by ourselves. Nobody chose me. That feeling of being left out hit harder than I expected. Things haven’t been good back home either. I came to Denmark with so much hope, but it’s been 5 months and 3 days without a job. The anxiety, loneliness, and pressure just keep piling up, and some days it feels like too much. I’m not looking for answers — I just really need someone to listen and maybe remind me I’m not invisible. If you’re here, thank you for reading.
