Jealousy over my girlfriend

...See more My girlfriend and I are in a very healthy relationship. She’s my best friend, we are both very patient with eachother and respect each other’s boundaries. No chance in the world I believe my girlfriend would cheat on me or do me wrong because we are both lovers but she can be very naive to people flirting and setting external boundaries with people because she doesn’t see it as such. Which I totally understand but I find myself getting so jealous and upset over other women being so gushy with her. I even find myself getting jealous over nicknames which I know is VERY jealous and I make it clear not to ever blame her or dump my issues on her. We have open conversations about what part of me is threatened and I always spend my own private time wondering what can be the problem. I’ve had a history of being cheated on, abandoned, and abused. I don’t miss my past or feel any ill intent towards it but I have so many triggers that I don’t understand now that I’m with someone who loves me as much as I love them and I wanna get to the bottom of it. Women are friendly and express themselves more gushy and her being a woman even though she’s more masc I understand they will do that but it’s very hard for me to not be upset about seeing it even though I KNOW it’s not necessarily wrong.

...See more My anxiety tends to make me overthink a lot not only about myself but about my relationship. She is extremely patient and understanding and I hold myself accountable but the fact that I have these anxieties hurt me because she’s an amazing girlfriend to me.
