And then he kissed me. His mom walked in and we never talked about it again. Ive never told anyone that before. Now Im 27 and Ive never been in a relationship or been intimate with anyone. Its incredibly frustrating,embarrassing, and lonely. It happened to me when I was so young. It changed me in ways Im still discovering. It changed me before I knew who I was. Its been hard carrying this secret all my life. Now I feel like so much time has passed that it wont matter if I tell anyone or not. I also feel like I definitely should tell someone. But I dont know how. Or who to tell.

...See more About 3 years ago I was doing the dishes and I had an epiphany: I was sexually assaulted by my friend during a sleepover when I was a kid. We were both sleeping in his bed and he got on top of me, pinning me down. He pulled my pants down and kissed me. I blocked it out for so many years that Id forgotten all about it. I realized that the assault is where a lot of my issues stemmed from. Im also a victim of emotional abuse and domestic violence. That started the year after my assault and went on for the next 15 or so years. Ive recently gotten out of that terrible situation and am now in a much better place. A place wherein I can finally start recovering. So I figured, why not start now?
