...See more I have been in a relationship with my bf for 7 years (we don’t live together) he has depression (no medication and no therapy) he has completely shut me out many times. When he isn’t depressed he’s loving and attentive and just a wonderful partner, but when he is, it’s like I don’t even know him. The last time this happened we talked about him at least letting me know he needs time alone or what not. Once again, about 6 weeks ago he cut me off with zero communication and not answering me. I want to be there for him, I just don’t know how to help. My question is why does this happen? He seems to be able to go to work and speak with coworkers/ kids etc, but it’s like I don’t exist. I could use some words of wisdom please, my heart is broken again
