...See more Backstory: bf [29M] and I [29F] met a few months ago and have been dating since. I think I love him and he’s told me he loves me and I can see from the way he acts that he genuinely does. He’s a really good person. I’m conflicted because I make much more than him and from our discussions it sounds like he isn’t motivated to make more. I’m concerned about a future with someone who I’m having to make up the difference for and if we bring kids into the equation (we both want children soon) I worry I’ll solely be the one paying for everything. That isn’t the life I want and it’s causing me to pull back at a time when I should be pushing forward if this relationship is going to work. I’m not sure what to do. I really like this guy but I don’t want to fall head over heels for someone and regret not finding someone who is more financially compatible for the lifestyle I want in the future. If you were in my shoes, would you be worrying about your financial future with someone if they made less and didn’t have a desire or inclination to work harder to help afford the lifestyle you want?
