Grades and school are murdering me

...See more I'm an A student. Ever since 3rd grade when we started getting grades, I have got A's. It is my claim to fame, the one thing about me that is good. I have a 4.667 GPA, it was all going great. And I just got an 82 (a C) in stupid American History. I feel like the one thing I lived for is gone, I'm never going to get accepted to a big name college like MIT with a effing C. Now I am mad that I didn't try harder, and I can't focus on my other classwork, I just want to give up and quit this all, its all pointless now.
